ForeCoast Marine showcased at C3S 3rd General Assembly

This week, the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) is holding its 3rd General Assembly in Warsaw, Poland. The C3S provides freely-available data on the past, present and future climate of Europe. The Service, funded by the European Union (EU), is being developed through a number of contracts, each with the aim of demonstrating the practical applications of the climate data in a variety of sectors.

What you can expect

The General Assembly will:

  • present highlights, lessons learned and future developments of the service;

  • bring together the C3S community including providers and users to share knowledge and experience across the various components of the service; and

  • showcase the C3S value chain via storylines to illustrate the journey from data production and processing towards the uptake by downstream users.

Our involvement

During the event, Martin will showcase how ForeCoast® Marine is being used (under a C3S contract) to support ports in their climate change adaptation planning. The contract - which is being delivered by JBA Consulting, Deltares and Waves Group and with valuable end user input from the Ports of Liverpool and Tyne - will allow ports to assess the risks that extreme weather conditions and climate change pose to their operations.

When

The Plenary days are from 29 October to 31 October and a User Day is scheduled for 31 October in the afternoon.
