Meet the Team: Stuart Wallace, Technical Director

Why did you join JBA Consulting and the ForeCoast® Marine team?

I joined JBA straight from University in 2003. I’m now Technical Director for our Systems and Software. I jumped at the change when offered the opportunity to work with the team to lead and influence the software development of ForeCoast® Marine.

What are your main roles and responsibilities with respect to ForeCoast® Marine?

I oversee the technical system development and plan ForeCoast® Marine’s development roadmap.

What do you believe are the greatest challenges to marine operators?

Some marine operators are slow to adopt technology, but technology is playing a large role for marine operators now, and will continue to do so in the future. Changing the culture and knowing which new technologies to adopt is the challenge.

Why do you enjoy working in the marine sector?

It’s clearly a sector that innovates and wants to adopt new technologies and push forward.
