Software Update: Vessel Interaction Feature

In response to increasing demand for complex installation and O&M strategy optimisation solutions, we are delighted to announce the addition of the “vessel interaction” feature in ForeCoast® Marine.

In essence, this innovative new feature allows the vessels to communicate with one another so that they can work in parallel in a realistic manner on common tasks with shared facilities.

This feature can be used, for instance, to evaluate the optimal distribution of installations that should be carried out by different vessels to achieve the best overall project success. It can also be used to represent realistic interruptions in terms of berthing restrictions, marine traffic, noise and environmental restrictions that happen when more than one vessel is involved in an operation.
